Audition Info for Bye Bye Birdie

Walk-ins are welcome but appointments are recommended. Please email the Director to reserve an audition slot or to resolve an audition conflict.

Callbacks will be by invitation only.

Auditions will be held at Investor's Bank Theater located at 72 Eyland Avenue, Succasunna, New Jersey. Enter through the side parking lot entrance.

What to Prepare

Please prepare 32 bars of a song in the style of the show that best fits your voice. This does not need to be a musical theater song. Bring the sheet music in the proper key for our accompanist. A cappella selections are not recommended for this audition.

You will learn a dance combination at this audition. Please wear comfortable clothes and shoes.

Please bring a headshot and resume if you have it, otherwise a picture will be taken.

Synopsis

A loving send-up of the 1960s, small-town America, teenagers, and rock & roll, BYE BYE BIRDIE remains as fresh and vibrant as ever. Teen heartthrob Conrad Birdie has been drafted, so he chooses All-American girl Kim MacAfee for a very public farewell kiss. Featuring a tuneful high-energy score, plenty of great parts for teens, and a hilarious script, BIRDIE continues to thrill audiences around the world.
